The 18th China International Chemical Industry Fair (abbr. ICIF China 2019) will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre from September 18th to 20th, 2019, which is sponsored by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF), and organized by the CCPIT Sub-Council of Chemical Industry (CCPIT CHEM) and the China National Chemical Information Centre (CNCIC). This year, ICIF China will continue to focus on the theme “Innovation Creates the Future”, intensively displaying new materials, new technologies and new equipments in the petroleum and chemical industry, leading the chemical industry forward with the power of science and technology, and capturing the strength of the chemical industry with innovative spirit to achieve sustainable goals of industry development and ecological balance.

From January 8th to 9th, the forum of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) theoretical work has been held in Qingdao. At the forum, CPCIF proposed the direction of work in 2019: "Continue to work hard to promote structural reforms on the supply side, and make new breakthroughs in improving the quality and efficiency of the economic operation of the industry, continue to work hard to improve the innovation capability of enterprises, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the industry, continue to work hard to promote energy reservation, environmental protection and safe production in the industry, and make new breakthroughs in improving the green development level of the chemical related industry, continue to work hard to promote the international cooperation based on “One Belt, One Road” and open up new prospects in the cooperation projects.”

In order to promote the chemical industry to improve quality and efficiency, innovation and development, green development, and international capacity cooperation, the scale of ICIF China 2019 has been upgraded, with eight major thematic exhibition areas have been set up - Basic Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Clean Fuel, HES of Chemical Industry, Fine and Special Chemicals, Chemical Processing and Technologies, Chemical Storage & Transportation, Smart Chemical Park, Dangerous Chemical Logistics & Technology. For the first time, the leading companies in petroleum refining and chemical enterprises will gather at ICIF China 2019. It will fully integrate the upstream and downstream industrial chain to show the products and service with development and innovation of the petrochemical industry to all exhibitors and visitors in the large chemical industry.

Since 1992, ICIF China has become the world-famous exhibition in the chemical industry. The scale of the exhibition will be 23,000 square meters and will have almost 600 exhibitors. At present, a total of 312 companies have confirmed their participation in ICIF China 2019, and the confirmed exhibition area has reached 14,800 square meters. The number of exhibitors and display area increased by 81% and 23% respectively compared with the same period of last year.
